in the summer of 2004 mel 1 and mel 2 crossed paths in australia. a mutual love of style and photography led to their first fashion shoot. while their friendship grew fast, they were soon separated by many miles when they returned to the united states. several years later, as only fate would have it, mel 1 and mel 2 each followed their creative careers to new york city. unaware of each other's new location, happenstance brought them together on a subway train in the city just days after each had arrived. having worked together as a photographer-stylist team ever since, melmel emerged as a resource for creative photographic collaboration on any budget.
